PANDEMIC UNEMPLOYMENT ASSISTANCE
The Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) act passed in late March included a provision to provide unemployment insurance to workers who are not ordinarily eligible for unemployment benefits. This includes self-employment individuals such as sole proprietors, single member LLCS, partners in a partnership and multi-member LLCs. Since the bills passing, most states have been scrambling to get the new provision implemented. Starting today, May 11, 2020, the State of Delaware will begin accepting applications from those workers.
